For every end there is a beginning.

Welcome friend!

You were probably lead here by me or you have a blogger account and you decided to venture here to see what it is I'm writing. Regardless of your personal situation chances are you are bored. Since you're here I will do my best to rid that plague of boredom. So sit back and enjoy the blogolog! (yes I made that up since monolog and dialog were taken).

Just days away from the new 2009 year I find it odd to start a new blog account with a recap of 2008. But why not? It'll give me something to talk about.

Awe, 2008, the year that was. What a fun filled and overall fantastic year!!!

I would like to revert to January when the then Young Miamians, now known as Florida Harmony Project (a barbershop chorus I am a part of) competed in the first ever youth harmony barbershop competition in San Antonio, Texas. With only having three months of singing together we didn't know what the outcome of this barbershop competition would be, but we sure brought it! Six barbershop choruses competed and out of the six, the Florida Harmony Project placed 2nd with a AAA Championship.

February March or April didn't entail much. So lets jump right to May.

HAHA!... Not much happened here I just wanted to get my birthday recognized, and also to gloat about my 21st birthday. Other than that not much happened this month either. To June we go!

Ahh, yes Junio, uhh I mean June! The most exciting month of the year. Why do I say that?
Because I was able to sing in EUROPE!! Where in Europe? Brace yourself you might become green with envy. Here goes. I started off in London England, spent 3 days there, and on the 2nd night was able to see Phantom of the Opera MUST SEE! Especially in its original inhabitants. I was a little disappointed that I wasn't able to visit Abbey Road studios, you know, the cross walk made famous by the Beatles. It didn't bother me that much, because its bloody London!

After those three days were up I went to Paris, France. Now if you're a romantic or in a romantic relationship you're probably thinking "I wanna go there for my honeymoon" or something of that nature. But, if you're an idealist you would see that the real Paris is filthy! I suppose if you're a dirty romantic (interpret that however you please) Paris France is the place for you!
Subsequently to France we traveled to Cranz Montana, Switzerland with our resort right smack dab amid the Swiss Alps. Even though it was June, it was cool for a guy from Miami standards, especially in JUNE!. I suppose it was because the elevation that made it cool.  I got to see and touch snow for the second time ever. No, it was not snowing, there were little patches that hadn't melted away yet.

The day we left Switzerland, we stopped in a little country called Liechtenstein. It was basically to get lunch and change currency and to shop I guess, if you're into that kinda thing. However there wasn't much there. Anyway on to Austria!!

Let the drinks keep a flown'

Following Switzerland I found myself in Austria. Where bratwurst is king and a pitcher of beer is reigns supreme. Okay thats enough said about Austria haha. For you musical buffs out there, yes! The Hills are alive with the sounds of music, no question about it! We stopped in Venice, Italy for a day while we were still staying in Austria. I want to forewarn any of you who haven't been to Europe, know this! A/C is nonexistent. There aren't enough blades of grass to equate to the beads of sweat I produced. Venice was hot, but Fing worth the 10 hour trip from Austria.

Keep the beer a flown' This time, I'll have a dark draft!

I ended my European excursion in Germany, during the Euro-cup! Can you say patriotic pandemonium?! I was proud to have German heritage, and yes I do have German heritage, but that for another blog.

Told ya June was exciting!

July August September October were pretty bland. I got back to school after my European stint, but like I said, those four months were bland.

November was cool, cause we got America out of rehab and back on track by electing Barack Obama as our new president of these United States of America. Aside from that, November was dull.

Which brings me to the final month of the year, December. Schools out for the semester. Baked goods are feeding the air with their delicious scent and it's beginning to feel a lot like christmas. Gawsh I love this time of year. There's much to look forward to and much to reflect on.

I have to say this past year has been one for the memory bank. I hope I can keep the memory fresh so that I can talk about it for years to come.
